About us

Connecting people
We are Borre and Steef, 2 youngsters enthusiastic about bringing people together. We want to encourage random encounters between strangers, bringing people together in a time where it sometimes seems that we only driving further apart. Beauty lays in the unexpected, and the unexpected is all we aim to achieve with Rembrandt van Wine.

Why painting in the dark?
We aim to help people create new connections, and that is simply much easier while painting. Even more so in an intimate, dark environment where you are also served a glass of wine. You are so busy with your hands that you won't even notice that you are speaking freely with your newly met neighbour. The new connections might last a night, they might last a lifetime. Both are fine.

A good time for everyone
Both meeting new people and doing something completely unexpected can be nerve wracking. With the right guidance from our host and art instructor, we make sure to take away any nerves and create a super positive experience! For everyone.

Solo-friendly
We always hold back spare tickets for people cool enough to come to one of our events alone. Yes, even when an event appears sold out. So, if you ever feel lonely and want to do something, just shoot us a message, and we will get you a ticket! During the event, you will be placed at a table with others, and our host will certainly walk on by a few times for a chat.

What is Rembrandt van Wine?
At Rembrandt van Wine, we host creative events across Belgium, all centered around one simple idea: Have fun. It’s not about creating the perfect piece of art but rather about trying something new, human connection, and most of all, having fun.
What began with a few sip & paint sessions in Amsterdam has now grown to include regular events many cities across Belgium, Sweden, France, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
Which language is spoken during the event?
Whatever language you prefer, with some reason to it. Most private events are held in either Flemmish or English but since we have quite an international group of art instructors you might just get lucky with your language of choice.
